How do you
make a small Condo feel spacious? Easy,
take out a wall or two, add an island with seating and enjoy!
This 900 sf
Condo felt too small so with the judicious removal of some walls, the relocation
of laundry and furnace, it now feels wide open with plenty
of room.
The
Caesarstone Wild Rice countertops contrast nicely with the ceramic subway tile
backsplash,
painted Shaker style cabinetry, and the rustic wood flooring. Adding lovely style touches like the stainless
Farmhouse sink and
conveniently located built-in Microwave, and you are ready for either a
party or some quiet time!
Dark wood
vaulted ceilings in the Living Room made the space feel overwhelming
and oppressive, while an old 1960’s block
wall at the entry and the fireplace surround closed in and dated the
space.
By painting
the wood and beams a fresh white and removing a partial wall
by the entry, the spaciousness remained without the heavy
feel. The natural stone on the fireplace is surrounded with a reclaimed
wood mantle which makes it cozy and the custom painted wood
shelving adds character while showcasing some favorite collected
art and ceramics.
